Worked example

How it works

Frequently asked questions
How is tip calculated?
Tip is a percentage of the bill subtotal. Tax, if entered, is also based on the subtotal, then the total is split evenly.
Can people pay different amounts?
No. This version splits the total evenly among the number of people you enter.
Should tax be included in the bill amount?
If tax is already on the receipt, leave tax percent at 0 and enter the pre-tip total as the bill amount.
