Browser-based

Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image and remove its background with an on-device AI model. Choose fast, balanced, or quality processing, preview the transparent cutout, and download a PNG. Your image stays in the browser, but the first run downloads model files from a third-party CDN (img.ly). Images are not uploaded to Utilnivo servers.

Background removal runs in your browser. The first use prepares an AI model and caches it locally; your image is not uploaded to Utilnivo servers.

How to use this tool

1. Choose an image or drag it onto the upload area. 2. Select a quality preset: Fast, Balanced, or Quality. 3. Click Remove background and wait for processing to finish. 4. Compare the original and cut-out preview. 5. Download the PNG with a transparent background.

Worked example

Example: upload a product photo on a plain backdrop, run Balanced quality, and download a PNG cut-out suitable for a catalog layout—edge quality varies with image contrast.

How it works

Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. An AI model runs entirely in your browser to separate the subject from the background and export a transparent PNG. The first use shows “Preparing AI model…” while model files are downloaded and cached in your browser; later runs reuse that cache. Your image is processed locally and is not uploaded to Utilnivo servers.

Limitations

Background removal runs in your browser. The first use prepares an AI model and caches it locally; your image is not uploaded to Utilnivo servers.

Privacy and file handling

Your data is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Your image is processed in the browser and is not uploaded or stored by Utilnivo. The first run downloads an on-device AI model from a third-party CDN (img.ly), which your browser caches for later use.

Why is the first run slower?

The first run downloads model files from a third-party CDN (img.ly). After that, the model is usually cached and later runs are faster.

What formats are supported?

You can upload JPG, PNG, or WebP images up to 12 MB. The result downloads as a transparent PNG.
