Time Zone Converter

  • Browser-based
  • No signup

Enter a date and time in a source time zone and convert it to another zone. See UTC, offset differences, calendar day changes, and the same moment across popular cities worldwide.

100% Client-Side

Your data never leaves your computer.

How to use this tool

1. Enter the source date and time. 2. Select the source time zone. 3. Select the destination time zone. 4. Click Convert. 5. Read the converted local time—confirm daylight saving rules for future dates.

Worked example

Example: 9:00 AM in New York (EST/EDT) on a meeting day converts to 2:00 PM GMT when the offset is −5 hours (exact offset depends on the date and DST).

How it works

Enter a date and time, choose the source time zone, and pick a target time zone. The converter treats your input as wall-clock time in the source zone, finds the matching instant, and shows that instant in the target zone, UTC, and a list of popular cities. Offsets follow daylight saving rules for the selected date.

Limitations

Results are based on the inputs you provide and may not cover every edge case. This tool is for general use and is not professional advice.

Privacy and file handling

Frequently asked questions

How is the date and time interpreted?

The date and time you enter are treated as wall-clock time in the source time zone, not necessarily your computer’s local zone.

Do daylight saving changes apply?

Yes. Offsets use IANA time zone rules for the selected date, including daylight saving where it applies.

Is my input stored?

No. Conversion runs locally in your browser and values are not stored.
