How to use this tool

Example: a 300-word article at 200 WPM reading speed gives about 1.5 minutes of reading time.
How it works
Paste text to estimate reading and speaking time from word count. Default speeds are about 200 words per minute for reading and 130 for speaking. You can adjust both speeds. Timing logic is shared with the Word Counter and runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
How is reading time calculated?
Word count is divided by your reading speed in words per minute. The default is 200 WPM. Speaking time defaults to 130 WPM.

Is my text stored?
No. Timing runs locally in your browser and text is not stored.
